My art tells my story. You could learn a lot about a person through their art.

Every one of this images tells a story about me.

Looking at these images you could say that I like flowers, seashells, collecting old things, scary things, fishing, painting abstracts, bold colors, warm neutral tones, rustic, and antiques. With each photo I could tell a story of what or who inspired me to create each photograph. My inspiration for all my artwork comes from within me and my surroundings.

Take the photo of the fishing fly. My Dad was a avid fly fisherman and loved tying his own flies and the blue fluid art painting...instantly reminded my of the ocean which I love to visit and collect seashells and speaking of seashells what of the photo with the seashell and buoys. What about the skull? I love Halloween and I do have a vivid imagination which is how I came up with masquerade invitation and the stories that can be created with just that photograph. The old saying "A picture is worth a thousand words" is true no matter what the picture or painting is. Someday maybe I will actually write a story about each photograph or fluid art painting. I have thought about it, but for now it's all about creating the photograph or fluid art painting.

The last few months have been full of craziness! Back in June I packed up my studio in preparation of my new larger studio. During that time I've not been able to do any projects. There were a lot of frustrating days and some good days, but no product development days. I did manage to get a lot of computer work done though.

In the photos below you can see the before and after.

In the before photo this is what my studio looked like and where the white door is, is where the attic was. This space worked out well for setting up for photographing, painting or other projects I was working on, but as you can see there is no computer. It was in my bedroom across the hall.

Here's the after. So the studio space from before is pretty much the same just more organized. The photo with the triangular arch way is the entrance to my new computer room and more storage for art supplies.

My computer desk and printer desk are both made from some plywood I found in my garage and stained them and used the file cabinets for support and they also provide plenty of storage. I also laid the floor and painted the computer room.

Now my office and studio are all in one space. I still have some tweaking and a bit more organizing to do, but I'm thrilled with the way it turned out! I can't wait to start creating in this space.
